📦 What You’ll Need
- A LoRa‑enabled device (e.g. T‑Beam, RAK, etc.)
- A USB cable to connect the device to your computer
- :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0} or other compatible firmware
- Access to power (USB or battery pack)
- Optional: external antenna for better range
Once you have all required components, follow these steps to flash the firmware and configure your node. If you're new, we recommend checking out the official Meshtastic website for firmware downloads and setup guides.
After flashing the firmware, open your configuration tool and set your radio parameters: frequency, bandwidth, coding rate, etc. Make sure your device is compatible with the local regulations — in Canada, many mesh networks operate on 915 MHz ISM band.

device: LoRa‑TBeam
freq: 915000000
bandwidth: 125

If your node boots up successfully, you should see LED activity (or equivalent) and be able to connect via the Meshtastic app. Then, you can join the official channel for your region to sync with other users.
