Join YQLMesh
If your device is already configured and powered on, you can join the #yqlmesh channel by using the MeshCore Companion app.
Open the app, navigate to Menu → Add Channel → Scan QR Code and scan this code OR Menu → Add Channel → Join a Hashtag Channel and enter #yqlmesh to instantly join our community room.

Step 1: Flash Your Device
- Visit the MeshCore Web Flasher page using a Chrome-based browser.
- Connect your LoRa-compatible device to your computer via USB.
- Select your board from the dropdown list on the flashing page.
- Choose the firmware labeled “Companion Bluetooth” to connect via Bluetooth or “Companion USB” if connecting to a computer with a USB cable and using the Web Client.
- Click Connect, then Flash and wait for completion.
Step 2: Connect via Bluetooth
- Install the MeshCore Companion App:
- Android users: The official app is available on the Google PlayStore.
- iOS users: The official app is available on the App Store.
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
- Power on your device and open the Companion app.
- When your device appears in the list, tap it to connect via Bluetooth. Enter the pairing code on your device's screen
- Wait for confirmation that the connection is successful.
Step 3: Configure for Canada
- In the app, tap the Settings icon. It will look like a gear.
- Scroll down to Choose Preset and select
Canada. - This automatically sets:
- Frequency:
915 MHz - Bandwidth and power settings compliant with Canadian laws
- Frequency:
- To join our local room, return to the home screen, tap the three dots in the top right corner, tap Add Channel and scan the QR code at the top of this page using Menu → Add Channel → Scan QR Code.
- Save your settings and reboot your device if prompted.
Step 4: Test and Explore
Return to the Channels screen in the Companion app and try sending a message by tapping on the Public channel and typing a message. If you are within range of another node or repeater, your message will be transmitted across the mesh network.
Experiment with different rooms, check packet statistics, connect to room servers, and explore how your node connects to others.
